The habits that matter before you touch Impossible difficulty.
The core idea in Chrono Warfare, like most tower defense games, is maximizing how long an enemy stays inside a tower's range. A tower sitting on a straight stretch of path only hits an enemy briefly. The same tower sitting on a bend — especially a tight one — can hit that enemy multiple times as it turns the corner. Prioritize the first bend near the spawn point, then work backward from there as your economy grows.
Two mistakes to watch for: overlapping ranges (two towers covering the exact same small area wastes the tower you could've placed somewhere else) and upgrading too late — a single upgraded choke tower usually outperforms two cheap, unupgraded ones sitting side by side.

Tougher waves reward the chokepoint habits you built on Normal. Start upgrading your carry tower here.
Reserved for a full loadout with a scalable carry and a boss-melter — see the Towers Guide for role breakdowns.
Not every enemy walks the ground path the same way. Keep an eye on enemy indicators for air or stealth types as you push into Hard and Impossible — a ground-only setup can leak badly against them if you haven't planned for it.
Progress does not transfer — Chrono Warfare is a separate save with its own towers, missions, and routes, so you're starting a fresh account either way. That said, the habits that made you good at Evolution Evade still apply directly:
